Cedar Recovery is currently hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at our new Office Based Opioid Treatment Facility in Memphis, TN. 

Cedar Recovery, LLC is an ASAM Level I outpatient treatment facility that employs an array of evidenced-based treatment modalities to provide an integrated model of care of medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to treat every patient's individual needs and promote long-term sustainable recovery from substance use disorder. While Cedar Recovery provides care for all substance use disorders, it has a primary focus on treating opioid use disorder with medications such as Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone (MAT).

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. The PMHNP will provide evidence-based psychiatric medication management and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services to individuals struggling with opioid use disorder and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact in the community while working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and substance use assessments.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for opioid use disorder (including buprenorphine) and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in coordination with medical, counseling, and case management staff.
  • Provide ongoing patient education regarding psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, and recovery supports.
  • Monitor treatment progress, medication adherence, and response to therapy, adjusting care as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with federal, state, and facility standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education relevant to MAT and psychiatric care.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • DEA registration
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, or community mental health preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of opioid use disorder, MAT protocols, and psychiatric medication management, preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
